stayed for 2 nights at holiday inn express and had a great time. the room was a queen with two queen beds, and it was spacious and comfy. the staff were super friendly and made us feel welcome. the location is good for a stop between rural new mexico and rural northern areas.

The entrance and sign-in area leave much to be desired, resembling a cluttered workspace rather than a welcoming hotel entrance. The room I stayed in displayed signs of wear, from a window with its trim partially detached to tiles laid down in a hurry, and the overall cleanliness did not meet Holiday Inn Express standards. To make matters worse, ongoing renovations turned the hallways into a paint job display, with strong fumes invading living spaces, which made it hard to relax and enjoy my stay.

The room had a nice layout with good lighting and a cool air conditioning system, which was a plus. The bathrooms were clean, and I liked having a wardrobe and a bench for luggage. However, the beds felt uncomfortable, like they had a dip in the middle, and the pillows could definitely use some more firmness. The cleanliness could've been better since there was dust and crumbs on the furniture. Overall, it had potential but missed the mark on comfort.
